Spring into a Anew!

When you live in Colorado, everyone gets apprehensive when the term “Spring” gets thrown out. But I saw beautiful pink buds on the trees throughout my neighborhood, so now that we’re approaching mid-April, I will confirm the sentiment: Happy Spring!
Fall and Winter were interesting seasons for me. I’ll give it to you straight (see what I did there?) and just say that I’ve been acclimating to a new job in healthcare (Mom said “Never be a starving artist”) and coping with being blindly robbed in my apartment. It wasn’t quite the end of 2023/Beginning of 2024 that I was hoping for but I’m hoping for better days ahead.
A lot of things transition in the Springtime, including my publisher. They’ve been working hard and revamping all their systems these past six months which has thrown a wrench into the timetable as a whole. It’s changed many dates for upcoming releases as well as relaunches for some of my work on Amazon in digital, print, and audiobook formats. But I know 4Horsemen Publishing is working hard and so I’ve allowed them all the patience in the world – mostly because they’re really patient with me on my writing updates! Ha!
Writing Updates. Speaking of. Stephen’s Second Chance: Part II is complete and waiting for the next steps with the publishing company. It’s a great finale to Stephen and Alexander’s storyline and a great start to Roman’s Reckoning if you want to read the series chronologically. I’m hoping by the end of summer, I will have more details for you on covert art and release dates.
The Chronicles of Fate series is continuing with the finale of Roman and Mikael’s storyline with Aria’s Arrival. Right now, progress is slow, I must admit. (I refer you back to the comment about the new job and me being robbed.) Now that I’m starting to go back into a state of homeostasis, I’m really hoping to kick it up to high gear.
Another side project has been in the works for a few months. For those of you who remember the 1990’s CBS classic “Touched By An Angel”, I’m working on a book inspired by the television series. However, instead of the story following angels who help the lost souls on Earth, my novel will follow a man mere moments after he has transitioned into the afterlife. He realizes very quickly that the afterlife is not filled with white wings, golden halos, and endless choirs singing their praises. Instead, he’s doomed to walk a desolate Wyoming town until he completes his ambiguous assignment that not even his assigned mentor is allowed to elaborate on. The result ends in a road to self-discovery with a tear-jerker of an ending.
The best news I have for you all is concerning my latest completion: “Grabbing A Slice of Minnesota Nice”. My life has way too many anomalies for timing to be coincidence. So, on a day that I was feeling the gloom, my publisher surprised me with my book cover and my editor with the completed edits! And I absolutely am in love with it and I hope you are too! I wrote this book as a form of self-therapy. The idea of it being published was a fever dream. Couldn’t believe it. Now, I have to believe it and so do you! Yipee! Simply amazing!
Will catch you all for the next update. Enjoy your Spring!
